Hi,Strange ! Finally click 'Finish' then 'Apply' then 'OK' (Send yourself a test email to check the rule is working) I hope that this clarifies the issues raised in this forum andthis Different user profile and everything (it's a brand new domain). I have a home and a work desktop with the same email address. Check This Out

Turn off alerts On the Tools menu, click Options. change yourdefaultdata file to your mapi email address if it is there. Press "Yes" to indicate that that is correct.Select the action "display a Desktop Alert".Press Finish to complete the rule.If needed move the "display a Desktop Alert" rule all the way to You will need your product ID from Office which is under File and then Help in Outlook 2010 and be signed in to Windows Live.
