For screen capture I use browser extension called Awesome Screenshot and it is available for Chrome, Firefox and Safari. instead it saves to the clipboard. There is solution for this as you can change the default file type for screen captures by using a simple terminal command. There's also a free little utility called SnapNDrag - very nifty.
