THE TILT MOTOR WAS BAD WHEN I BOUGHT IT. Anyone no the fix. If you have power then you have a bad solenoid. Help me please. have a peek here
lost most all steering and control. He also does shrink wrapping and winterization at great prices. Worked good. The dash trim switch sends voltage to one of two solenoids. this is wrong because if it comes out there it will not go out the hoses.
If the gage is stuck in one position then the switch to raise or lower the unit won't respond in that direction because the sensor is telling the switch the unit what is the issue. First, disconnect the power Trim and Tilt Motor. Mercruiser Tilt Trim Solenoid Then proceed as PAR told you.

Loading... It helped me to avoid a $400 motor replacement. To make the trim go up, you need to apply 12v to the blue and white wire that goes from the throttle to the up solenoid. The Black wire works as a Ground on power Trim and Tilt Motors that don't ground thru the case. If necessary, trace the wires to the front of the engine near the slave solenoid.
