THE TILT MOTOR WAS BAD WHEN I BOUGHT IT. Anyone no the fix. If you have power then you have a bad solenoid. Help me please. have a peek here

lost most all steering and control. If the gage is stuck in one position then the switch to raise or lower the unit won't respond in that direction because the sensor is telling the switch the unit what is the issue. First, disconnect the power Trim and Tilt Motor. Mercruiser Tilt Trim Solenoid Then proceed as PAR told you.

  • You need a manual to walk through what you need to do.
  • Clean out the old grease and pump fresh Mercruiser 2-4-C grease thru the zerk fittings before reinstallation.
  • Motor would start though.
  • Trim pump was not working, so I checked the breaker and fuse at the trim pump.
  • Although the trailer mode trim raises(out) ok.
  • To test the motor itself, bypassing the relays and relay wiring, find the two heavy gauge wires that lead to the trim/tilt pump motor.
  • Move the red voltmeter lead to point 3 & depress the Out/Up button.
