Outdrive Trim Not Working


THE TILT MOTOR WAS BAD WHEN I BOUGHT IT. Anyone no the fix. If you have power then you have a bad solenoid. Help me please. have a peek here

  • You need a manual to walk through what you need to do.
  • Clean out the old grease and pump fresh Mercruiser 2-4-C grease thru the zerk fittings before reinstallation.
  • Motor would start though.
  • Trim pump was not working, so I checked the breaker and fuse at the trim pump.
  • Although the trailer mode trim raises(out) ok.
  • To test the motor itself, bypassing the relays and relay wiring, find the two heavy gauge wires that lead to the trim/tilt pump motor.
  • Move the red voltmeter lead to point 3 & depress the Out/Up button.
