I have gone to tools, options, etc. It was the severe weather alert one. I hope you are not suggesting that the Firefox and Java updates are not needed. That was the clue verifying the source. More about the author

It's a mix of not wanted stuff. Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of. Problem solved. It is only in the last couple of months that this has been an issue.
