How could I have missed that button all this time. Finally, I had to gather bits and pieces from several computer forums to find an effective solution to fix the problem. I found that I needed to press the FN key on my laptop. In some laptops, you have to press the Fn key, along with the printscreen key to get the job done. For some reason the print screen function just will not work, I have tried pressing the button on its own and also whilst holding down the alt button to no avail. Some of these laptops do have a lot of extra keys and connections.

Just Restart the ComputerSometimes, the problem is at a hardware level, where the keyboard entries are not mapping properly. Printscreen shows up instantly.
