God bless you. i did it and it worked like a charm. If there are no spooled print jobs (.spl or .shd files), or if removing existing spooled print jobs does not change the behavior, then a driver or port monitor may be I can find some .msc filesbut I can't find these.

seems to happen with the cannon MF, and now with Lanier  MF, but I did not recreate the printer Queue and I think it may be with the printer going into Ok, so I have had this same problem trying to install my HP Photosmart 8450. Trying to pinpoint a solution on the Microsoft Support website is worse than looking for a needle in haystack…specially for someone like myself who is more of a computer novice. Thank you.
