If the check box was not selected, enabling it will fix the problem. Here is what fixed it (a fortunate accident). Since I support more than one agency and have many users still on Office 2003, I decided to remove the Office 2010 from I ran an Update rollup on My xchange server 2007 the other day as wellas other automatic updates. I rebuilt the profile from scratch, removing all files and only restoring word,excel,powerpoint data,etc no settings files. It didn't help, it had the same issue.
