Make sure you copy, not move, winword.exe! In normal versions of Office 2007, you do not need this key at all, so it is safe to remove. I assume somewhere his profile was corrupted or some random key in the registry was different. Spelling and grammar require both Outlook and Word to be from the same suite for best results.
