the CMOS battery is fine.- the clock lags behind by about 7-9 minutes- then oddly, after a while, it corrects itself, then lags again.the problem was fixed in 2 ways:- i Windows 7 Clock Wrong Click > clock in system tray > Change date and time settings... > Internet Time tab > Change settings... > switch server to time-a.nist.gov or other. Remember, CMOS batteries only hold your BIOS settings when your computer is unplugged. This happens at times when I turn it on and the BIOS update screen is there and then windows loads normally with, of course, the wrong date and time.I think I I just got a new computer, and am so frustrated with these sorts of Win 10 problems, but am grateful to people helping with solutions like this.
